Dr. Jonathan S. Myers, MD, is a board-certified ophthalmologist and the Chief of the Wills Eye Glaucoma Service. With a strong focus on the medical and surgical management of glaucoma, his work also extends to clinical research, particularly in the areas of novel treatments and the causes of glaucoma. He has contributed significantly to the advancement of surgical techniques and visual field testing. Dr. Myers is an Associate Professor of Ophthalmology at Sidney Kimmel Medical College at Thomas Jefferson University and has lectured extensively on the diagnosis and management of glaucoma.
A prolific researcher, Dr. Myers has participated in numerous surgical trials and multi-center studies, making him a key figure in the field. He has earned widespread recognition, being named a “Top Doctor” by Philadelphia magazine from 2010 to 2024 and recognized as one of “America’s Top Doctors” by Castle Connolly from 2014 to 2024.
Dr. Myers completed his fellowship at Duke University Eye Center and his residency at Wills Eye Hospital. He holds a medical degree from the University of Pennsylvania and an undergraduate degree from Princeton University. Dr. Myers is fluent in English and remains a leading voice in advancing glaucoma care.
