Dr. Muzikant joined Inotek in October of 2008 as the Company’s Senior Director, Business Development. Dr. Muzikant brings over 10 years of corporate development and leadership experience in entrepreneurial biotechnology companies to Inotek. His responsibilities include corporate and business development activities, as well as communications.

From August 2006-October 2008, Dr. Muzikant was Director of Business Development at EPIX Pharmaceuticals, where he led the partnering of small-molecule drug candidates across multiple therapeutic areas. Prior to EPIX, Dr. Muzikant was Director of Business Development at Predix Pharmaceuticals, where he played a role in establishing drug discovery collaborations against GPCR targets. Before that, he was Director, Ion Channel Drug Discovery at Predix, where he led an atrial fibrillation drug discovery program. Prior to Predix, Dr. Muzikant held a variety of roles at Physiome Sciences, a biotechnology company using computer simulation to assess QT prolongation liability and cardiac safety risk of new drug candidates.

Dr. Muzikant has a B.S. in Engineering (Bioengineering) from the University of California, San Diego and a Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering from Duke University.
